Blue Cross of Idaho Health Service, Inc. is Hiring a Remote Business Development Executive

Prospects and generates new group sales for targeted market segments in a defined territory. Develops and implements sales strategies to meet sales and membership objectives for assigned market segment(s) and territories. This position requires a local presence in the Twin Falls and/or Eastern Idaho areas, and has flexibility to work hybrid location (onsite Eastern Idaho campus(es), field work, and remote work-from-home). #LI-Hybrid Required Education & Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college) State of Idaho Resident License or must obtain within 120 days of hire Travel: Travel and/or attend off site events during and outside of standard working hours Required Experience: BDE II: 3 years’ sales, account management or related experience, preferably within in health insurance industry; at BDE III: 5/ years' experience. Responsibilities at these levels include: Responsible for new sales of group products and services. Provides resolution of difficult problems and issues. Develops and maintains an understanding of the company’s competitive position in the market and proactively identifies opportunities to leverage the company’s position to grow membership May offer new sales and marketing techniques to assure success of assigned product lines. May handle diverse group funding proposals by educating stakeholders on alternative financing arrangements. Your day may look like: Develops and implements sales plans to achieve sales objectives for assigned product lines and/or market segments. Responsible for new sales of group products and services. Develops and delivers sales proposals and presentations. Enrolls new members through prospecting, contacting, negotiating, and selling concepts, rates, and the organization’s unique value proposition to individuals, brokers, consultants, and/or groups. Retains, builds, and strengthens relationships to generate future sales growth and maintain existing business with brokers, groups, individuals, and community partnerships. Ensures active participation in community and industry organizations. Identifies opportunities to grow membership by evaluating reports of existing book of business including historical trends, prospects, and specific products. Ensures sales tools are maintained with documentation of activities, call notes, prospect information, futures tasks, and other required information to support the overall sales plan. Provides market feedback and information for sales forecasting. Monitors competitor activities and practices through accurate group and customer feedback and inform leadership. Reviews and verifies data on business opportunities and market trends. Assesses broker, customer, and/or client needs and suggests appropriate products and/or solutions.
